We are Kalbo and Poknat, and we are fighting for love.

You can read about our plight here, but in short, we are a same-sex American/Filipino couple who is being denied equal rights as other couples to be together. Because the United States federal government does not recognize our relationship, and the options for Poknat to enter the USA are daunting and would pose a significant financial hardship on us. Kalbo is open to moving to a country that accepts gay partners, such as Canada or Britain, or the Philippines if he can find a good job or work remotely, and we hope to use this site to raise awareness to get assistance so we may be together. P.S. We're urgently seeking advocates to help us. We've reached out to attorneys, rights groups, federal officials over the years ... and we've gotten nowhere. The pain afflicted on us by the US government is awful, and every day that passes by can never be regained.
